Bangladesh declare 478 in front after Litton brings up stroke-filled century
Bangladesh declared their innings at a mammoth lead of 478 runs after Litton Das scored a brilliant century on the fourth day.

Bangladesh stamped their authority on the fourth day as skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto called time on their innings with a mammoth lead of 478 runs. The declaration came on the back of a stroke-filled century from Litton Das, who anchored the batting effort with authority.
Litton played with immense freedom before falling for 102 off 117 balls, laced with 14 elegant fours. He was eventually caught by wicketkeeper Ikram Alikhil off the bowling of Saleem Safi, bringing an end to a stellar knock that completely shifted the momentum.
Afghanistan's bowling attack toiled hard throughout the sessions, creating several opportunities both before and after lunch. However, fielding lapses proved costly as none of the chances were taken, allowing the home side to consolidate their position.
Ebadot Hossain and Hasan Mahmud later spearheaded the bowling attack to tighten Bangladesh's grip on the match. With the bowlers putting sustained pressure on the opposition, the batting unit's earlier heroics placed the team firmly in the driver's seat.
