Mehidy Four-Wicket Haul Powers Amazon Warriors as TKR Finish Bottom

Guyana Amazon Warriors continued their stellar run in the tournament, securing an impressive eighth victory after a commanding performance against Trinbago Knight Riders. The highlight of the evening was a match-winning spell from Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz, whose four-wicket haul proved completely unplayable.

The defeat capped off a nightmare campaign for defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders, who officially finished at the bottom of the standings. Suffering their seventh loss of the season, TKR failed to mount any serious resistance against a rampant Amazon Warriors side.

Mehidy set the tone early with tight lines and sharp turn, repeatedly breaking key partnerships just as TKR attempted to rebuild. His subtle variations and control over length kept the opposition batters pinned in their crease, forcing risky shots that led to a steady procession of wickets.

The Bangladeshi spinner finished with crucial figures of four for, dismantling TKR's middle and lower order with minimal fuss. His breakthroughs ensured that the target remained well within reach for the Warriors, who controlled the tempo of the contest throughout.

Chasing a manageable target, Guyana's top order batted with composure and calculated aggression. Despite minor stumbles, they wiped off the runs comfortably to solidify their position at the top tier of the points table.

For Trinbago Knight Riders, the campaign ends on a sobering note. Having entered the tournament as titleholders, systemic batting collapses and inconsistent bowling efforts leaves them with plenty of tactical questions heading into the off-season.

The victory provides further momentum for Guyana Amazon Warriors as they prepare for the knockout phase, with Mehidy's form adding incredible balance and depth to their bowling attack.
