The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has finalized the itinerary for the upcoming home Test series against West Indies, scheduling the two red-ball fixtures across Dhaka and Sylhet for October and November.

This tour marks the Caribbean side's return to Bangladeshi soil for a dedicated Test series for the first time in five years, offering a crucial contest within the current ICC World Test Championship cycle.

The Sylhet International Cricket Stadium is slotted to host the opening Test of the series, providing a scenic backdrop for what promises to be a stern battle between bat and ball.

Action will then shift to the capital for the series finale at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, a traditional stronghold for the home side's spin unit.

For Bangladesh, the upcoming bilateral engagement represents a vital opportunity to capitalize on familiar subcontinent conditions and accumulate key Championship points before embarking on subsequent overseas assignments.

West Indies last played a Test series in Bangladesh in early 2021, and the visitors will face a challenging task adapting to the slower, spin-friendly surfaces expected in both venues.

Ground operations and organizational preparations at both venues are already underway as the host board prepares to welcome the West Indies contingent for the late-autumn schedule.
