Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz is poised to make his Caribbean Premier League (CPL) debut after being drafted by Guyana Amazon Warriors for the upcoming season.

Miraz steps into the squad as a direct replacement for experienced Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, who is unavailable for the initial leg of the tournament due to national commitments.

In addition to Miraz's arrival, the Warriors have strengthened their batting order by signing Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris, who replaces aggressive Afghan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz.

For Miraz, this marks a significant milestone in his franchise T20 career, offering him an opportunity to showcase his off-spin and dependable lower-order batting on slow, turn-friendly Caribbean wickets.

The Providence Stadium in Guyana historically offers assistance to spin bowlers, making Miraz's inclusion a tactical masterstroke for the Warriors as they aim to control the middle overs.

Having impressed consistently for Bangladesh across formats and in the Bangladesh Premier League, Miraz brings both tactical flexibility and international temperament to the lineup.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Haris will inject raw aggression at the top of the order, providing rapid starts in the powerplay during Gurbaz's absence.

Guyana Amazon Warriors will look to integrate both newcomers quickly into their setup as they chase sustained momentum in the competitive T20 league.
