BCB Announces Free Entry for First Test Against West Indies
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced free entry for spectators in designated galleries during the upcoming first Test against West Indies in Mirpur.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has confirmed that fans will be able to watch the opening Test against West Indies free of charge from designated sections at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The initiative aims to encourage greater attendance for the five-day fixture.
The visiting West Indies squad reached Dhaka earlier this week and is currently engaged in a two-day warm-up match against a BCB XI side in Mirpur. The main action of the first Test gets underway on October 28, forming a key part of the ongoing World Test Championship cycle.
Under the new arrangement, spectators can access the North and South galleries without charge across all five days of the contest. This decision builds upon the board's traditional policy of granting free entry specifically to schoolchildren during domestic Test matches.
However, officials clarified that this special access remains restricted to the designated general enclosures. The waiver will not extend to premium seating areas such as the Grand Stand, Shaheed Jewel Stand, Shaheed Mushtaque Stand, or other hospitality zones.
Following the conclusion of the opening fixture in Mirpur, both teams will travel to Sylhet for the second and final Test of the series, which is scheduled to commence on November 5.
