Tasmania registered a clinical and commanding victory over Western Australia, routing their opponents for a meager 115 before completing a swift chase in just 16.2 overs with nine wickets intact.

The tone of the contest was set early by a relentless Tasmanian bowling unit that exploited favorable conditions to put Western Australia on the back foot immediately after they were put in to bat.

Speedster Riley Meredith was in exceptional rhythm, hitting challenging lengths and testing the top order with raw pace and movement. Alongside him, towering allrounder Beau Webster proved equally destructive, slicing through the middle order to prevent any hopes of a recovery.

Together, Meredith and Webster tore the heart out of the Western Australian batting line-up, accounting for seven wickets between them as the batting side collapsed in a heap.

Western Australia simply had no answers to the probing lines, with wickets falling at regular intervals. Only a couple of batsmen managed to grind out double figures as the innings folded rapidly inside the scheduled overs.

Chasing a modest target of 116, Tasmania's openers went on the attack from the outset, eliminating any possibility of a dramatic comeback from the bowling side.

They lost only one wicket on their way to the target, cruising across the line with plenty of overs to spare in what was a highly-skewed encounter.

This emphatic performance underscores Tasmania's bowling credentials early in the season, while leaving Western Australia with plenty of questions to answer regarding their batting depth.
