India pacer Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand, starting November 4, after failing to recover from a hamstring injury. The BCCI announced on Friday that the fast bowler requires additional time to achieve full match fitness.

"Prasidh will join India A squad for the third and final four-day game against New Zealand A, subject to him clearing the Return to Play (RTP) assessment," the BCCI stated. This transition will provide him with vital match practice ahead of the upcoming Test series.

Meanwhile, pacer Mohammed Siraj is set to link up with the India A squad for the second unofficial Test beginning October 31 in Lincoln. Siraj was last seen in action during the Ranji Trophy for Hyderabad, picking up three wickets across matches against Tripura and Andhra.

All-rounder Nitish Reddy will remain with the ODI squad for the opening match on November 4 before joining the India A setup for the third unofficial Test. This preparation aims to ready him for the two-match Test series against New Zealand starting November 19.

Reddy has featured in five Tests since his breakout performance during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where he accumulated 298 runs, including a century at the MCG. Prasidh, who sustained his hamstring injury during September's ODI against the West Indies, is anticipated to return for the Test matches.
