Pandey, Harris and Yastika Star as Knight Riders Seal Opening Win

Trinbago Knight Riders launched their season in style, registering a convincing victory on opening night behind key contributions from Shikha Pandey, Grace Harris, and Yastika Bhatia.

Defending a solid total of 155, Knight Riders proved too disciplined for Barbados Tridents, whose late-order collapse left them well short of the target despite a mid-innings fightback.

Setting the foundation early, Yastika Bhatia provided aggressive intent at the top of the order, taking full advantage of the powerplay to hand Trinbago immediate momentum.

Grace Harris then took charge in the middle overs, powering the scoring rate with clean striking to elevate Knight Riders to a competitive 155-run total.

In response, Barbados Tridents found brief stability through resilient knocks from Kiran Navgire and Maddy Green, who kept the chase alive with a crucial partnership.

However, Indian veteran Shikha Pandey broke the stand at a critical juncture, triggering a fatal collapse as Tridents' lack of batting depth was laid bare.

Knight Riders efficiently ran through the tail to secure maximum points, laying down an early marker for the rest of the tournament.
