Trent Boult Highlights KL Rahul as India's Key Batter for Upcoming Test Series
New Zealand pace bowler Trent Boult believes KL Rahul will be the standout player to watch when India host the Black Caps in their upcoming Test series.
New Zealand fast-bowling stalwart Trent Boult has identified India batter KL Rahul as the standout performer to watch during the upcoming Test series between the two teams.
India are set to host the Black Caps for a three-match Test assignment later this year, a contest bearing heavy implications for the World Test Championship standings.
Speaking ahead of the high-stakes series, Boult expressed deep appreciation for Rahul’s technical prowess and adaptability across different positions in the batting order.
The left-arm seamer noted that Rahul’s experience opening the batting gives him a distinct advantage when countering top-quality pace bowling, even while operating in the middle order.
Having closely observed global talents across international fixtures and franchise leagues, Boult emphasized that Rahul possesses the composure required to anchor long red-ball innings against moving deliveries.
Rahul, who recently re-established his place in India’s Test lineup with crucial contributions abroad, will be looking to solidify his form on home turf against a formidable Kiwi attack.
The upcoming series promises a compelling tactical battle between New Zealand's disciplined seam unit and an Indian batting order tailored to master home conditions.
