Gill falls for 1 run in Ranji return ahead of New Zealand Tests
India Test captain Shubman Gill managed just one run on his Ranji Trophy return for Punjab against Chhattisgarh ahead of the upcoming Test series.

India Test captain Shubman Gill endured a disappointing outing on his return to the Ranji Trophy, managing just a single run for Punjab against Chhattisgarh.
The dismissal comes at a crucial juncture as the team prepares for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand, which is scheduled to get underway on November 19.
Facing the bowling attack, Gill was removed by Ajay Mandal after spending five deliveries at the crease.
Despite this early setback in domestic competition, the batter has compiled 1,095 international runs over the course of the year, a tally that includes four centuries.
Following his domestic commitments, the right-hander is set to feature in the opening three ODIs against New Zealand before shifting full focus back to the longer format for the Tests.
