Anshuman Hooda's journey from a national-level roller skater and an engineer to the Purple Cap winner in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) is nothing short of remarkable. After two failed Under-23 trials, he contemplated quitting the game. But the DPL provided a platform where his raw talent and speed could shine.

Hooda, a graduate of Delhi Technological University (DTU) and an employee at a multinational company, had never played age-group cricket. His coach, Harish Dagar, believes that Hooda can touch 150 kmph, making him a formidable fast bowler.

"Anshuman has the potential to be a top-class fast bowler. He has the pace and the skill to make a mark in professional cricket," Dagar said. Hooda's journey is a testament to the opportunities that local leagues can provide to talented players.

Hooda's performance in the DPL has caught the attention of cricket scouts and selectors. His ability to bowl at 140 kmph and his consistent performances have made him a standout player. "I never thought I would be here. The DPL has given me a new lease on life in cricket," Hooda said.

The road from corporate life to professional cricket is not easy, but Hooda's story shows that with determination and the right platform, anything is possible. His success in the DPL has opened doors for him, and he is now looking forward to more opportunities in the cricketing world.
