Teenager Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was once again left out of the playing XI as India prepared for the final fixture of the series. Shreyas Iyer opted to make two changes to the team for the encounter.

The young batter has featured in only two matches during the current assignment. His earlier opportunities in the side came when Ishan Kishan was sidelined due to an injury.

India head into this concluding fixture having already secured an unassailable advantage in the five-match series. The hosts claimed the first three matches in convincing fashion to lock down the series.

New Zealand managed to bounce back in the previous outing, registering an 87-run victory in the fourth T20I to halt the momentum before this final clash.
