Anvay is leading a 16-member Karnataka squad in the tournament, which got underway in Visakhapatnam earlier this month.

His appointment as captain comes 10 months after he made his India U19 debut against Afghanistan in Sri Lanka in November last year.

In a thrilling contest, Karnataka successfully chased down a target of 358 runs.

The successful chase was anchored by Dravid, who slammed 151 runs.

Sehwag scored 173 runs off 143 balls, but his impressive knock ended in a losing cause.
