U-19 Tigers’ Afghanistan series rescheduled again
Bangladesh U-19's youth one-day series against Afghanistan has been rescheduled to begin on October 17 due to visa delays and staggered team arrivals in Oman.

Bangladesh U-19's upcoming youth one-day international series against Afghanistan has been rescheduled once again, with the four-match series now set to begin on October 17, a day later than previously planned.
The fixtures were initially drafted to comprise five matches starting on October 13, but the itinerary was reduced to four after the Bangladesh contingent failed to secure Oman visas on time.
Logistical delays prompted staggered travel arrangements, with ten members of the squad flying to Oman on Tuesday, while the remaining fifteen arrived on Thursday.
Head coach Hannan Sarkar confirmed that the matches will now be contested on October 17, 19, 21, and 23 at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.
“The entire team has reached Oman. We have a 25-member contingent. Ten of us came on Tuesday, while the rest arrived this afternoon,” Hannan said, noting that while the weather is hot, the breeze is helping the players adjust to the conditions.
Following the conclusion of this series, the team will travel back home before heading to Oman once more on November 2 for the ACC U-19 Asia Cup, which gets underway on November 5.
Bangladesh enter the regional tournament as champions of the 2023 and 2024 editions, and have been placed in Group B alongside Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Malaysia. They will kick off their title defense against Afghanistan on the opening day.
