New Zealand's Chapman and Foulkes ruled out of India T20s
Black Caps batter Mark Chapman and fast bowler Zak Foulkes miss the upcoming T20 series against India due to injuries, with replacements called up.

New Zealand have suffered a major setback ahead of their white-ball assignment against India, with batter Mark Chapman and fast bowler Zak Foulkes ruled out of the upcoming Twenty20 series due to injuries.
The Black Caps are scheduled to host India for a multi-format tour consisting of five T20s, five ODIs, and two Tests. The opening T20 encounter takes place in Christchurch on 22 October.
According to New Zealand Cricket (NZC), Chapman sustained a left hamstring tear during the European T20 League. Meanwhile, Foulkes picked up a right hip flexor injury while attending a Canterbury men's training session.
While Chapman is expected to recover in time for the ensuing ODI series, no timeline has been established yet for Foulkes' return to full fitness.
Selectors have drafted all-rounder Josh Clarkson and fast bowler Blair Tickner into the squad as direct replacements for the injured duo.
Head coach Rob Walter expressed sympathy for the sidelined players while voicing confidence in the experience brought by the incoming replacements.
Mitchell Santner will lead a 16-man New Zealand T20 squad featuring Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Josh Clarkson, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Bevon Jacobs, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Tim Seifert, Nathan Smith, and Blair Tickner.
