Australia spearhead Mitchell Starc has overtaken India's Jasprit Bumrah to secure the No. 1 position in the ICC Men's Test Bowling Rankings.

Starc's devastating new-ball bursts during the recent Test fixtures propelled him to the pinnacle of the world rankings, earning critical rating points that edged him past Bumrah.

"It's an honor to reach the top, but the team's victory in the Test championship race remains our foremost priority," Starc stated.

The pace ace now holds a slender lead at the summit as preparations begin for the upcoming marquee series.
