New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner has cautioned his side against underestimating Indian batting stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli ahead of the five-match One-Day International series this November.

The upcoming white-ball tour holds immense significance for both teams as they continue to shape their squads for upcoming international competitions on the calendar.

Despite ongoing discussions surrounding their age and career phases, Santner emphasized that the veteran duo possesses the skill to turn any game around single-handedly when in rhythm.

Both Rohit and Kohli have been central to India's limited-overs success over the past decade, repeatedly demonstrating their ability to excel under pressure in overseas conditions.

"Rohit and Virat are still very good players," Santner acknowledged while addressing the distinct challenge India will present on New Zealand's seam-friendly pitches.

The Kiwi all-rounder pointed out that while host conditions typically favor pacers, top-tier batters of Rohit and Kohli's experience adapt swiftly to varying surfaces across the globe.

New Zealand will rely heavily on their disciplined pace attack to strike early, hoping to prevent the Indian top order from setting up massive totals.

With cricket enthusiasts eagerly anticipating the high-profile November clash, the focus remains firmly on how the home side plans to counter India's superstar batters.
