Black Caps star Rachin Ravindra's return confirmed after promo shoot injury

Black Caps star Rachin Ravindra is set to make his return to action following a recent injury sustained during a promotional shoot.

The development provides a welcome boost for the team as preparations ramp up for upcoming international assignments.

In a strategic squad shift, eight players will switch their focus directly to the two-match test series against India.

This tactical adjustment means these players will bypass the final two one-day internationals to fully align with the red-ball campaign.

Team management has opted for early preparation to ensure the squad is fully conditioned for the demanding test challenge ahead.

The upcoming series against India remains a critical focal point of the international calendar for the New Zealand side.

Ravindra's recovery timeline has aligned favourably with the team's overarching scheduling requirements for the tour.

Further updates on the playing eleven and final tactical combinations will be revealed closer to the opening fixture.
