Megan Schutt produced a lethal opening spell to dismantle the top order, setting up an eight-wicket victory and a clean sweep of the three-match ODI series for Australia against Bangladesh in Brisbane.

Opening the bowling at Allan Border Field, Schutt bowled her ten overs straight through and returned exceptional figures of 4 for 16, keeping the tourists under intense pressure from the very first delivery.

Despite resilient half-centuries from Sharmin Akhter and Shorna Akter, Bangladesh were never truly in the contest as Schutt's precision and movement pegged back the batting lineup.

Schutt notably claimed the wicket of Sobhana Mostary, who had previously made a century in the series, ensuring the visitors could not build a commanding platform.

Australia eventually bowled out Bangladesh for 172, showcasing their clinical bowling attack in helpful conditions.

In response, the hosts coasted to the target comfortably, securing the series sweep with plenty of overs to spare.
