Zimbabwe opted to bat first after making two strategic changes to their lineup for the fixture against Afghanistan.

The team management brought in Newman Nyamhuri and Tadiwanashe Marumani to bolster the playing XI.

The incoming players replaced Ernest Masuku and Ben Curran, who dropped out of the side for this encounter.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan made a notable addition of their own, welcoming back pace spearhead Fazalhaq Farooqi into the team setup.
