Pat Cummins Shrugs Off Usman Khawaja's Book on Sandpapergate

Australia captain Pat Cummins has played down concerns that Usman Khawaja’s upcoming autobiography could bring fresh attention to the 2018 ball-tampering scandal, also known as Sandpapergate.

The development comes as Australia prepare to return to South Africa for the first time since the infamous scandal occurred.

The three-Test series is scheduled to begin at Kingsmead on Friday.

Addressing the media, Cummins stated that the incident had already been dealt with extensively.

The Australian skipper emphasized that the team had firmly moved on from the episode.

When questioned about Khawaja's book potentially reviving discussions around the controversy, Cummins responded bluntly with: 'Tell your story'.

The visiting side is now fully focused on the upcoming red-ball challenge on South African soil rather than past controversies.
