Nayeem Hasan becomes the fastest Bangladeshi spinner to reach 50 Test wickets during the first Test against the West Indies in Mirpur.

Nayeem Hasan etched his name in the record books by becoming the fastest Bangladeshi spinner to reach 50 Test wickets during the opening match against the West Indies.
The milestone arrived at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur during the second session of Day 3.
Playing in his 16th Test appearance, Nayeem required 2,856 deliveries to capture his 50th scalp.
By achieving this feat, he surpassed fellow off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who previously held the record after reaching the milestone in 13 matches.
Nayeem continued his impressive spell by dismissing Shamar Joseph, Jomel Warrican, and Jayden Seales.
He finished his bowling stint with figures of four for 33 across 10.5 overs.
His disciplined bowling performance helped bundle the West Indies out for 245 in their first innings.
The effort enabled the Tigers to secure a crucial 27-run lead heading into the subsequent phase of the contest.
